About Kagarko
General Information
Kagarko Local Government Area is a strategic gateway located in the southern part of Kaduna State, with its headquarters in the town of Kagarko. Spanning an area of approximately 2,356 km², the LGA is currently led by Hon. Muhuyideen Abdullahi Umar (Chairman).
The area is a beautiful melting pot of cultures, home to the Koro, Gbagyi, Hausa, Fulani, and Adara tribes. This diversity is our strength, reflected in our vibrant markets and peaceful communal life. Our economy is driven by large-scale farming, being a major contributor to Nigeria's non-oil exports.
